The Tahoe Lazy Bear is a 3 bedroom, pet friendly South Lake Tahoe log cabin. Conveniently located off of Pioneer Trail between Sierra-At-Tahoe and Heavenly. Fully fenced yard, cozy living room with gas freestanding stove all add up to a great Lake Tahoe retreat.

This log cabin is a wonderful spot to use as your home base to explore all of Lake Tahoe, in the winter drive to Sierra-At-Tahoe, Heavenly Ski Resort or Kirkwood. A few blocks away there is access to miles of forest service trails: hike, bike, cross-country ski, snowshoe-get out and explore.

The Tahoe Lazy Bear is a single story log cabin, as you enter the home you are in the open living room and kitchen. Down the hallway there are 3 cozy bedrooms and a full bath. Off the kitchen there is a large laundry room with access to the big fenced backyard. The yard is a great place for the kids and your dog to play. In season there is a picnic table and chairs to lounge on. There is a propane BBQ for summer meals.

The Tahoe Lazy bear has televisions set up for streaming and wifi (high speed internet).

El Dorado County Vacation rental ordinances are in effect, quiet hours are 10:00pm-8:00am, but the neighborhoods peace and quiet must be maintained at all times. We appreciate your cooperation.

If the family is looking for a peaceful spot to gather together to relax and play this cabin may just be the spot for you. It is located approximately 5 minutes from the community of Meyers with local favorite restaurants: The Getaway Cafe, The Divided Sky (bar and restaurant) Freel Perk Coffee Shop, Frescana Mexican Bistro, Bob Dog Pizza and Sombrero's Mexican. Holiday Market is a fully stocked grocery store.
In the summer there are two nearby golf courses: Tahoe Paradise Golf Course and Lake Tahoe Golf Course.
In the winter there Tahoe Tube is open on the Tahoe Paradise Golf Course.

No street parking during snow removal times-vehicles will be ticketed and towed.

This cabin is located in the Tahoe Paradise area, off Pioneer Trail close to Meyers--airbnb shows it in Al Tahoe and we can't seem to fix it.

Pet Policy: 1 dog is allowed (2 if small under 25 pounds) there is a $250 pet deposit, that will be refunded if there is no pet damage or excess cleaning required.
Guest of record must be 25 years of age of older, guest of record must be present at the property.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads..
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

  Some debris in backyard (broken picnic table, furniture? covered by tarp, some litter. No foil/plastic wrap in kitchen. NO KEY for Bear box, so had to leave trash in mud room. Very small bar(really for only two people)to eat at, therefore had to eat Thanksgiving meal with plates balanced on knee.
  But, backyard was very nice otherwise, comfy couch,nice piney location. Feels like a cabin should.
  Suggestions:Go to Ikea, bring back a small DR table and chairs.
  Have a stock of cocoa, tea, creamer sweetener, instant oatmeal, cup-a-soups like our other Tahoe rentals had.

Unfortunately due to bear activity in the neighborhood (several homes have been broken into we cannot leave any food in the kitchen between guests). We will check on the bear box key it was there last week. We hope you had a good stay and we continually work to make this cabin a good place to visit.

  Location is a bit outside of South Lake Tahoe commercial area and 15mins from state line. Great location for enjoying the outdoors with out being in the middle of the town. Dog friendly Kiva Beach and the marina at Camp Richardson were easy to get to, multiple golf courses were within 5minutes, and there is plenty of hiking, mountain biking and climbing close by along I50 heading away from lake.
  
  Cabin was in fairly good shape with the Kitchen and Bath looking like they were re-done not too long ago. Only amenity we missed was having a BBQ grill for cooking outdoors.
