Where Eagles Fly-An impeccably maintained 3 bedroom home with hot tub, family room with pool table. The upstairs great room is designed to take in the forest views or relax in front of the gas fireplace on a snowy day. Where Eagles Fly was designed for family relaxation, a peaceful place to gather and to enjoy gorgeous Lake Tahoe.
The upstairs level features the spacious living area, dining area with a table that seats 8, and gourmet kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances.
There is plenty of room for the family to relax and cook a feast after a day exploring Lake Tahoe, swimming at the beach in the summer or skiing and playing in the snow in the winter.

Additionally the upstairs level features a spacious deck, overlooking the forest, a 1/2 bath, laundry and over sized primary suite. This suite has a king sized bed and the bathroom includes a separate soaking tub, shower and dual sinks.
The lower level includes a family room with tv, comfortable couch and pool table. The lower level has two bedroom one with a queen bed, the third bedroom has a bunk bed that is a double/double. The second full bath is on this level.

The sliding door off the family room leads to the hot tub, soak away your cares after a day of hiking or skiing. El Dorado County rules forbid hot tub use between 10:00pm-8:00am. Quiet Hours must be observed between 10:00pm-8:00am

While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads.
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Pioneer Trail is a primary plow road but Glen Eagles is not plowed as quickly.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries)

  This was our first time in South lake during the winter season. First the location was easy to get to being right off Pioneer Trails. Not much slipping and sliding for our SUV. The house was clean and spacious. Enough room for the kids and dog. The hot tub was hot and well maintained. The kitchen had everything except we only had 2 dish towels. The heater work down stair in every room. We had fun in and around the house and did not have to go far to find snow to sled on. The one draw back was the fireplace was gas. Nice ambience but, no roasted marshmallows. In all the house was great and one of the nices house I have ever rented in Tahoe.

  The house was very nice and clean. It was in the perfect location for a wedding we attended. The house was supplied with everything needed in the kitchen to cook meals. The only problem that I had was that there were quite a few spiders inside and I hate spiders.

  Lovely property. It is spacious and had all of the amenities we needed. The registration process was smooth and communication with the management company was actually pleasant. The location was easy access to activities and attractions. My only concerns include the fact that there was a lot of animal hair throughout the property, especially one of the lower level bedrooms, and lover level couch. I spent my arrival day washing bed covers so we could sleep pet hair free. It would have also been nice to have clear instruction on how to work the TV. We figured it out, but it took a while. Other than those two items, I would definitely reserve the property again!

  The home was clean and spacious. There was plenty of activities to do indoors since we were stuck inside during the snow. The hot tub was great for two people but we tried four and it was not big enough. It was well equipped with the essentials. I would just recommend putting more dishes/utensils as we had to keep washing the ones provided. Otherwise an awesome place to stay with plenty of room for everyone.

  The house itself is beautiful and spacious. The upstairs deck was quite enjoyable due to the outdoor couch (not pictured in the listing). The dog run was perfect for our dog to go potty easily and readily during our stay.
  
  We wish that the listing was more accurate as to what the property had on site -- like it would have been incredibly helpful to know that they had a large dog crate on site as well as various other equipment (I believe bikes and kayaks, too!) so we didn't go through the trouble of bringing one. The deck photo was also not up to date and is way more pleasant in real life than the photos depict thanks to an outdoor couch.
  
  The main issue we had was with respect to communication with the property management, who failed to tell us, even though they knew before we arrived, that the washing machine was broken. We are a family with a child in cloth diapers and we were counting on the washing machine working. That was one of two requirements we had for our rental place (dog friendly and washing machine). On the child and father's shared birthday, we went to put in a load of cloth diapers and quickly became very frustrated that the machine did not work. It could fill with water, but it would do nothing else, not even drain.
  
  The management never told us about the broken washer, though they told us they knew about the broken washer before we arrived. If they had told us and we could have made adjustments to make sure that we were prepared or chosen to go somewhere else, but they neglected to do so. So a big birthday for both child and father became tainted as we had to wash dirty cloth diapers by hand.

  The house was very nice. However, the kitchen tile floor was very sticky. We had to wipe the entire kitchen floor several times to get rid of the stickiness. The slide doors and windows were very heavy to slide. I think they would need to be applied some sort of oils to get smoother. Besides those 2 issues, we very enjoyed the house and definitely come back in the future.

  We had a wonderful time staying at this house. The snow was crazy during out stay but we were always comfortable. The property was in great condition, very clean and nice, and cozy. There was an issue with the lock box being broken/covered by the snow, so they were supposed to leave a key. The key was forgotten so they brought it the next day, with a shovel (we couldn't find a snow shovel) and a bag of icemelt. We had a blast in the hot tub with our kids every night, and our dog was good about using the gated in area as a restroom as it wasn't that snowy! Our favorite house that we have stayed in yet! It's about a 10-15 minute ride in the snow to Heavenly and right off of Pioneer, which was always well plowed. The master bedroom and bathroom are lovely! Wonderful experience!
