The Snowy Owl cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood in Tahoe Paradise and is perfect for those seeking outdoor adventures. The cabin sits on a large parcel and has a vacant lot adjacent that provides privacy and forest views. The hot tub set on the spacious deck is a perfect spot to relax after a long day skiing or exploring Lake Tahoe.
This home does not allow pets, if you are bringing a pet please contact us about finding another home.

This single-story chalet features three bedrooms and two full baths. As you enter the home, there is a tile entry with racks for your skis and snowboards.

The great room at the back of the home features soaring vaulted ceilings and large windows overlooking the covered porch and tall pines in the large private backyard. Very comfortable seating and a gas stove accent the great room. A 55” 4K Smart TV has capabilities for you to log into your subscriptions with Netflix, Amazon, Pandora, Hulu, etc. Along with a Blu-Ray DVD player, basic cable and Wi-Fi, there are plenty of entertainment options. The gas fireplace with stone surround is perfect for snowy winter nights.

The dining room table seats six, and there are four bar stools for additional seating at the kitchen counter. The kitchen has a gas cook top and oven. With a gas grill, blender, drip coffeemaker and a Keurig, stove top espresso maker, toaster oven, waffle maker and dishwasher, the cabin is well-equipped for family meals

The first and second bedrooms each have a queen bed with 12” memory foam mattress. The third bedroom is set up for the kids, with twin bunk beds in addition to a third twin bed. There are two pack n play (small fold out cribs) for the little ones.

The cabin is two blocks from the Lake Tahoe Golf Course and minutes away from the Tahoe Paradise Golf Course. Cross-country skiing, sledding, and snowmobile tours are also nearby. Tahoe Paradise Park and Lake Baron are also just a short bike ride or drive away.
If the family is looking for a peaceful spot to gather together to relax and play this cabin may just be the spot for you. It is located approximately 5 minutes from the community of Meyers with local favorite restaurants: The Getaway Cafe, The Divided Sky (bar and restaurant) Freel Perk Coffee Shop, Frescana Mexican Bistro, Bob Dog Pizza and Sombrero's Mexican. Holiday Market is a fully stocked grocery store.


Home does not have air conditioning, but there is a full house fan.
The deck and patio furniture have been completely stained and refinished summer of 2019.
Patio furniture is put away in November for the winter season.

While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads..
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

  I enjoyed the property’s location and the coziness but this rental was locking essentials like sugar, salt and so on. On the first day we arrived one of the bedrooms was messy as if somewhat had been staying there and left half bottle in fridge which was upsetting because what is the point of charging guest a cleaning fee if property is not kept well. In order for us to get to the hot tube and barbecue grill we had to shave away the snow on our first day but this should have been done by maintenance. I stayed in many Airbnb and my experiences have always been excellent.

    We profoundly apologize, a guest should never walk into a home that is not fully clean. We think someone used it without notifying us. The codes and locks have been changed and we have hired a dedicated snow removal person for the hot tub. The BBQ sits under the covered portion of the deck so it should be accessible. This winter with heavy snow and rain has been challenging. Our cleaning crew is one of the best and is committed to making sure this home is guest ready. Regarding: sugar and salt, we were advised that COVID cleaning regulations said to remove all consumables even spices. Again we are so sorry you walked into a house that wasn't guest ready, but luckily we got our cleaner there quickly to fix things. This home has had many happy guests and we believe moving forward everyone will continue to enjoy staying at the Snowy Owl Cabin.

  Overall, the place was great. Very spacious. Hot tub and deck are great. It was also nice to have 2 full bathrooms. Only 2 drawbacks... 1) the beds suck. They're super hard. Definitely need an upgrade. 2) It's about 3 miles to the lake and about 8 or 9 miles to Stateline. So ubers get costly.

  The only negative things I have to say was it smelled like cigarettes when we first walked in which would indicate that the previous renters may not have followed all the rules.
  The pots and pans needed to be washed before used because again: the previous renters did not wash them. And the kitchen knives could use an upgrade as they were very dull and flimsy.
  
  Otherwise: we loved our stay! The cabin was cozy, easy to find and the beds were super comfy! We loved that the TV was a smart tv as well so we could watch our shows during our down time :)

  Cabin fits 7 people but the third bedroom (with the twin and bunks) is really for kids. However, hosts and property manager were extremely helpful and easy to work with. Location was about 15 min from the casinos. I’d recommend loading up on groceries at Safeway near town. Hot tub was also super clean and comfortable. Thanks for everything!

  We had the pleasure of staying an entire month at Snowy Owl. I agree with other reviews that the house seems small from the street. It’s not, in fact it’s very spacious especially in the great room and on the deck.
  
  Everything was extremely clean upon arrival. We were also lucky to be the first ones using the house after the new floors were installed throughout. The only downside is now my family wants new floors at home. They look great.
  
  Kitchen was well stocked with many chef’s needs beyond just the basics (knives, dishes, utensils, pots and pans). Not quite like being in my own kitchen but way more tools than I would have expected. There’s a basic coffee maker, a Keurig and we even found a stove-top espresso maker.
  
  Another review complained about poor lighting but we found that to be false, so long as you know where the dimmer switches are.
  
  Very conveniently located to a local grocery store 1 mile away in Meyers and about 3 miles from a larger grocery store at the Y. We ate all meals at home with very little takeout, but the house is super close to a lot of restaurants and amenities.
  
  Excellent internet and WifFi as well as the big tv in the great room.
  
  The deck is like a whole different living extension of the house and the hot tub rocks! We brought our own spare BBQ tank but this one was plumbed to the main house gas line.
  
  The kids loved the bunk beds.
  
  We saw bears often, so be vigilant and don’t keep anything remotely edible in your car.
  
  It was very nice to have a dedicated laundry room. Other places we have stayed have a washer and drier located in a kitchen or bathroom closet.
  
  Definitely a quiet local’s neighborhood and I would not recommend this house for a large group. This house is ideally suited for a couple, a single family or two small families (max) to share.

  My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Snowy Owl. It was located in a quiet residential area with about a ten minute drive to South Lake. The cabin was a great size for the two of us. It could very comfortably fit four adults and two children. The living room/dining area was a nice size. The deck out back is gorgeous. We enjoyed using the hot tub almost every night we were there. The only heads up I would say in this review is that you do have neighbors. To the back the deck overlooks another yard and to the side and the front we had a friendly wave or two from the people across the street. We were gone most of the day so it did not bother us, it did surprised me a little when we first pulled up. I would definitely recommend Snowy Owl as a nice place to stay.

  We stayed at Snowy Owl for 4 nights in early June. The location at the south end of Lake Tahoe worked well for us. We found the accommodations and facilities very nice, though it could use a freshening up. The deck and interior are starting to show some wear. The kitchen was well equipped; bathrooms were pleasant with plenty of hot water for morning showers for 3; beds a bit soft for our taste. We did not use the hot tub or the deck. Had some giant ants that were harmless, but bothersome.

  The house is very unique and perfect for a South Lake Tahoe adventure. This was my first trip to the area from Chicago and we hit the jackpot with this place. The house was much larger than we expected and can comfortably sleep 7+ people, though we only utilized two of the three bedrooms. The bedrooms we stayed in were large and the back porch was massive! The hot tub a was a great added bonus to unwind in after our daily adventures. The kitchen was well-stocked to cook meals at home too, if you decide against visiting the many great places to eat nearby.
  
  Owner was very helpful and easy to get a hold of. Had a minor issue with one of the shower's temperature settings, which we quickly learned was actually due to user error. Owner responded instantly and explained how to use it properly.
  
  The house is in close proximity to bike trails and within walking distance of a golf course.We rented both road and mountain bikes down the road and were able to access a lot of unique trails within 10 minutes of the house. The actual lake and beaches as well as the downtown area of Heavenly Ski Village/casinos are just a few miles away.
  
  Would definitely recommend this property and can't wait to return!

  Our group of 6 was overall very satisfied with our stay at this cabin. The cabin was clean and spacious. The outdoor area with hot tub was nice. It was also convenient to the main road in Lake Tahoe. The only thing we would have liked to have been provided with was an electric fan because the cabin was warm in the afternoon. We also couldn't find the recycling bin and would have liked to have been able to recycle our items.

We didn’t use the fireplace because it really was not cold enough and I tend to be sensitive to smoke anyway. Location is beautiful but I was not prepared for the effects of the altitude (a little over 6,000 feet. I guess I am sensitive). Overall the property it nice, clean and a great location to relax. Not far from town (less than 5 min away).

  Overall very clean and accommodating. The only thing I wish the hot tub was a little warmer and we were not able to find garbage bags. Other than that it was a great stay and I could see renting it again.

  This place has a great location. The house is well equipped with all the things you might have forgotten home and even more. Its beautiful, quite, definitely private, and relaxing house. We have spent celebrating New Year and my Birthday at this house and it was a wonderful experience. Everything is located locally and Sierra ski resort was definitely our favorite. We would have to come back when there is more snow and do some cross county which is closely located as well. Great location, amazing house. Thank you for taking care of us.

  My husband and I met both sides of our family for a 5 day stay to enjoy the South Lake Tahoe area and skiing. We rented this 3 bedroom property and had a wonderful stay overall. This cabin is fully stocked with all of your needs. The fireplace was a bit of a challenge, but the staff responded to my call quickly and the owner text me as well. The only problems with this rental were the two large bedrooms. The beds are very hard. Other than that, it was the perfect location, and we had ample space. The rental was very clean, and very welcoming. We would stay here again.

  We were very happy with the house. It matched the pictures and was actually bigger than it looked in the pictures. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. The TV and Blue ray player were nice and we were able to connect Netflix, etc. The internet was fast and reliable. We would definitely stay in this house again in the future.

  We loved this rental home! The adults were very impressed and the kids were so happy with the bunk beds and all the fun nature activities close by.
  From the pictures and from the street we were initially unsure about the size and sufficiency of this house. But the second we walked in the door and through the house we were so impressed and only continued to be so for the duration of our stay. The bedrooms are very well appointed with comfortable beds and very nice linens, and there is a ton of natural light from the many many windows that open out to the surrounding nature and beauty. So great to have a laundry room when traveling with the kiddos. Not to mention the well-stocked kitchen that made traveling with the family so easy.
  Love the house, love the area. Objects from curb (and from some pictures!) may appear smaller than they are. Don't be deceived! This place is roomy comfortable and inviting.
  We definitely can't wait to return to this awesome property.

  Overall, our rental experience was very positive. I originally was having trouble confirming my reservation through the website. I called the office and Beverly let me know that due to a current storm, they are having slight issues with the site. She assured me she would hold the cabin until the site was up and she would call me back to confirm. And she did as promised. Upon arrival, the property was very clean and tidy. No old carpet musty smell. New fridge still even had the wrap on it, which their staff arrived at exactly at check in time to unwrap. The layout was comfy in that our family stayed all in the same room but still had a somewhat separate space. Close to local stores and at entrance of South Lake. Overall a great experience and would rent again.
