This upgraded Chalet is nestled on a quiet county lot surrounded by tall pines. This is the perfect blend of modern upgrades and classic Tahoe chalet charm. A very clever remodel expanded this traditional chalet into a roomy home perfect for families looking for a Tahoe retreat.
Enter through the covered front porch into a spacious great room, take in the beautiful views and make yourself at home.
The entry level features a great room with gas fireplace, dining area and remodeled, well-equipped kitchen. Open beams, pine ceilings and wood floors enhance the woodsy Tahoe chalet style. Two bedrooms and full bath are located on the first floor.
Upstairs there is a peaceful sitting room with fantastic views of the backyard, mountains and vistas. The primary, largest bedroom (with private bath) is a wonderful spot to relax.
The upstairs sitting area can be accessed by a spiral staircase from the living room, or the “bridge” from the other wing. The sitting area has beautiful views of the wooded lot and the mountains in the past.
In addition, in a separate wing there is a bedroom with vaulted ceilings and another small loft area with a double bed and single futon.
The backyard is a great place for the kids to play and the chalet is just down the block from miles of Forest Trails, walk to Osgood Swamp (great wildflowers in the spring) miles of trails for hiking. This is a great location for those that love mountain biking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. It is a short drive to fishing and boating at Echo Lake, the beaches along Highway 89 (Camp Richardson, Pope Beach, Baldwin Beach). One of our favorite walks is exploring the Kiva and Valhalla Historic Sites.

This home does not have air conditioning.
There is an EV PLUG in the garage, NEMA 14-50 Guests must bring their own portable EV charger to plug in

Note for all reservations:
While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads.
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

  Very clean and spacious house in a nice and quiet neighborhood. There are two separate living areas, both with gas fireplaces. Master bedroom also has a gas fireplace and we liked that they all are each controlled by their own thermostat so we could set the temperature and not have to turn it on and off. The house also has central heat. The owners have thought of everything! The kitchen is very generously stocked and had everything we could have possibly needed. There were also toys, books, and DVDs. I appreciated that Michelle called to update us on the travel conditions. She was very helpful! This rental was truly a nice surprise and much more than we expected. We will definitively stay here again!

  We come to this cabin every year with a large group and it meets our needs very well. Usually the backyard is great for snow play; building snow forts and snowmen and snowball fights. Not as much snow as past years so snow play at the house was limited but the lack of snow allowed us the opportunity to explore some of the hiking trails at the end of the street. The downstairs lay out is great for a large group with the open kitchen, dining and living room. Everyone loves sitting by the fireplace and snuggling up on the extra large couch. The kids love sleeping in the lofts. Three bathrooms is super helpful with the number of people this house accommodates. For what you get from the house the price is unbeatable. There isn't a better deal in the area. Good to note that this cabin is not centrally located to South Lake Tahoe activities such as the casinos or Heavenly Village but on the outskirts in a nice quiet location, which is what we were looking for. We love this cabin and will continue to come back.

  This was a fabulous rental. It had everything we needed! We had small children with us and the house was equipped for them, toys and games. The house was very spacious with a lot of room for us!! I only have one complaint the house was not very clean when we arrived and the furniture wasn’t in its place. Some area we cluttered. It’s a high cleaning fee I would have expected a cleaner arrival. With that being said I would still stay here again!

  I selected this home based on the space and rooms available to accommodate my grown kids and their family and give everyone privacy and room to spread out. It fit the bill and was exactly what we needed. Close to supermarket, restaurantts and South Lake Tahoe. The home was stocked well and had many extras. A back deck off the main floor would off been nice but there is one upstairs. The only disappointment was the quality of cleaning that was done based upon the high cleaning fee. Overall, great experience and would use this company again.

  We visited South Lake Tahoe for our annual family vacation. The home was spacious and beautiful. The parking was a bit tight as we had 2 mini-vans but it worked out. The home could use an upgrade on their beds especially the downstairs room. And the bedding sheets smelled as if no one has used or changed out the sheets. There was a laundry on site so washing the sheets was no biggie. Other than than everything in the kitchen worked and we loved all the windows in the property allowing natural sunlight to enter the home.

  This was a perfect vacation for my family. My son said he wanted a trip for his sixth birthday rather than a party and Tahoe was the perfect place to bring our family. I looked at a bunch of houses but this one stood out for bed sizes. The photos were beautiful but they did not do the house justice. It was absolutely stunning. The house had everything you could think of, board games, movies, all the dishes you could need, just everything. The master bedroom and shower is to die for, the beds are big and comfortable, the upstairs balcony is great, and the chair swing was so cool. The contact I had for the property, Michelle, responded promptly anytime I contacted her with a question. This is not a loud party house since it is in a neighborhood and you need to be mindful of noise but it is the perfect house for a nice family get away. My kids didn't want to leave and honestly, we didn't either. If we find ourselves heading to Tahoe for another trip, I would most definitely rent this house again. We had 10 people, 6 adults and 4 children and it had more than enough room. I'd recommend this house to anyone that needed someone big and cozy to stay.

  Great location, very beautiful house. Somewhat small drive-in and only one space in a garage was free, but we had only 3 cars so it wasn't a problem.
