The Thunderbird cabin is conveniently located in the Tahoe Paradise area of South Lake Tahoe. It is an easy drive to all of the Tahoe activities you may want. Located near the community of Meyers with several delicious restaurants (Frescana, Meyers Down Town Cafe, Getaway Cafe, Divided Sky and more) The Tahoe Paradise Golf Course and Lake Tahoe Golf course are just minutes away. It is an easy drive to Sierra At Tahoe or approximately 15-20 minutes to Heavenly. In the summer the beaches are a 15–20-minute drive depending on which one you choose. the Upper Truckee River is about a 10 minute walk away. This is a great spot to explore all Tahoe has to offer: hiking, mountain bikes, the beach, skiing and more.

During the winter you will need a good snow vehicle and tires or chains, the driveway is steep. Once you pull up the driveway there are stairs to the front door. Guests will have access to the 2-car garage.

As you enter the home you enter the warm living room with a wood burning fireplace, flat screen tv and french doors to the yard. The comfortable couch is a great place to relax and enjoy the fire after a day skiing or playing at the beaches.
There is a pac man game for the young and young at heart.
The dining room table seats 6, or more if the kids share the bench. There is also a tall table with two bar stools.
Televisions are streaming only, no cable.

The kitchen is well equipped for your family feasts: granite counters, gas stove, toaster oven, ice maker, Ninja coffee maker. Just off the kitchen is a bath with shower.
The primary bedroom is located on the first floor and features a king bed, TV, play n pack for a little one. The full ensuite bath includes two sinks, jetted tub and separate shower.

Upstairs there is a full bath with a tub/shower combo.
The front bedroom has 2 queen beds and a television.
The back bedroom has a triple twin bunk bed and a full bed, this room also has a Golden Tee Game and asteroids-a perfect retreat for the kids.


The Thunderbird cabin is a great retreat for the family that wants to gather together and enjoy Lake Tahoe. In the summer the kids will love playing in the backyard. The backyard is fully fenced and includes a hot tub, a hammock for lazy summer days, corn hole, and tight rope for outside entertainment (use at your own risk). There is a propane BBQ on the deck. For those wanting to stay inside there is a wide variety of board/card games and puzzles in the kitchen cabinet left of the microwave.

Your dog is welcome but due to extra wear and tear on the property there will be a $50.00 per reservation pet fee.

While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads..
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

  Nice home, great location. Wintertime driveway can be a challenge, I had to shovel ice off driveway to access home easily thru garage, too much snow and ice on front door entry area. Recommend ice melt be made available for renters. House/kitchen was well equipped. Should replace worn out rugs, Blue tape holding rug down dining area is very Tackey. Several of the shades are missing or damaged, those should be replaced as well. Loved all the games, Packman was a big hit. Also recommend rugs at entry way to put shoes etc.... We did not think Beds were very comfortable, was happy we brought our own pillow. Hot tub was nice to relax in evening.

    Thank you for the notes--we will share with the homeowner. There is a bucket of ice melt in the garage for guests to use and we try to keep up on the stairs and driveway.

  Great yard with fun stuff outside, private yard. Nice location in a quieter part of town. Nice setup with beds for a large family. Fun Pac-Man game. For the rental price, I felt that the home should have offered a few more things- the cupboards we’re pretty bare - very few drinking glasses other than wine glasses, not a lot of silverware, basically zero cooking ingredients (I expected to see more of the basics like olive oil, salt,pepper, etc). Bath towels and toiletries could have been nicer - no conditioner, just shampoo. Hot tub had a funky smell like plastic - didn’t stay long inside. Security cameras pointed at the spa made us a little awkward too. Pros and cons to everything I guess. :)

    Thank you for the feedback. First priority the camera has been moved, it was supposed to be aimed at the back fence to watch for bears. We have purchased glasses and more silverware. Unfortunately as part of Covid health protocols we were advised to not supply any basic cooking ingredients including oils, and spices.

  There is a lot to like about this house, and then a few things that can cause trouble. The house is roomy and mostly comfortable. The yard is awesome! My dog loved the wildlife. When we were there the hot tub did not work and was a major bummer - but we were refunded a portion of the fee without any hassles. The driveway is OK ish - if you have a short car... probably no problem. We have a Toyota Tacoma pickup. While it fit in the garage, getting out of the driveway was terrifying. The pictures just don't show how steep the driveway really is - or that there is no room for error. I can't imagine having to navigate in the winter. for the most part we used the staircase in the garage - it's steep too and needs a railing on both sides. The location was great - close to town and hiking, very quiet neighborhood! If everything worked that this would be a great place to stay.

  We were so excited when we booked this cabin just based off the pictures and when we got there it was more beautiful in person!
  
  Check-in was easy, access was easy, close proximity to the lake and restaurants and everything was clean and set up for us. The backyard was huge with plenty room for our dog and family to play, along with disc golf, zipline, bbq and much much more. There are a ton of board games inside along with fun arcades. The kitchen was organized and fully stocked and the rest of the house was nicely decorated and updated. You could easily spend all your time at this cabin with tons of activities to do. We saw a ping pong table and corn hole in the garage, along with other games, although we did not set up, as it had been snowing, but it's there for you to use. We could not be happier with our stay and will definitely book in the future. You will not be disappointed!!!
